In this week’s study we see how God answers our prayer that His kingdom come by sending us His Word. Elijah was sent back to king Ahab who had troubled Israel by encouraging idolatry. God demonstrated that He alone is the true God by consuming Elijah’s sacrifice with fire from heaven while the sacrifice offered to Baal by the 450 false prophets remained untouched because there is no god accept the true God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
